Hope everyone is having an awesome week! As you all know, I started running again and lately I have been feeling a little drained. Earlier today, I did some research on ways to get energized before (and after) a good workout. Smoothies just so happen to be among the most popular pre- and post-workout snacks, so I decided to make something of my own. I saw some really nice recipes, but I wanted to try something I had never done before. This recipe can be easily made vegan by simply substituting dairy milk for almond, rice, or hemp milk. Ingredients
½ Cup Fresh Spinach
½ Cup Honeydew
½ Cup Water
½ Cup Skim Milk
2 Teaspoons Stevia
2 Ice Cubes
½ Tablespoon Flax Meal
½ Tablespoon Sunbutter
Preparation
Place all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Serve... Enjoy!
So light and refreshing! I've never had honeydew in my smoothie before. I will have to try this!
