Pizza for lunch? Yes! I love pizza, but I can only eat it when it's gluten-free. Unfortunately, it's the same for anyone with gluten sensitivity or Celiac Disease. Yet, there is hope for us thanks to Udi's Gluten Free Foods. Even though Udi's Pizza Crust has been in the market for a while, I had not been able to try it until today. Without a doubt, it's the best gluten-free pizza crust I've ever tasted. Before trying it of course, I had to create a savory pizza recipe. I opened my fridge and saw a couple asparagus spears, so I grabbed some mozzarella cheese and a slice of ham. Here's what you'll need...
Ingredients:
½ Udi's Pizza Crust
½ Cup Chopped Asparagus
¼ Cup Mozzarella Cheese
1 Slice Ham (Chopped)
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 375°F. Pour some water into a skillet on medium/high heat and add chopped asparagus. Slice one pizza crust in half and sprinkle mozzarella cheese and ham on top. Drain asparagus once it has become soft and place on top of the pizza. Place in the oven for approximately 8 minutes and 3 additional minutes on broil. Remove from oven and add some ground black pepper (optional)... Enjoy!
Note: To make a full pizza, just double the ingredients.
The pizza looks great!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this recipe it's definitely a really good reward for my brother who got his Food Handler Certification last week. But still work on the dough first. I'm not really the cook-type but I'd like to do something special for him.
